Due to the integration of the project into the existing power grid network, strict adherence to the procuring of treated pine poles were put in the project implementation policies shared with the respective shareholders. These poles were to be sourced from the Northern belt of Ghana because there was the issue of pricing and also meeting the required/desired quantities meeting such standards. The team also had to cross over to neighboring countries like Togo and Ivory Coast to have access to some of these materials.
A project analysis was done on the sources of such materials which were to be purchased from accredited sources.
The materials were successfully accepted by the audit teams from MTN Ghana and the project was able to successfully kick start.
